Police are tight lipped on Monday’s homicide in Swansboro.

Mike McHugh and I bounced some information around and here’s what we came up with:

The address where crime scene investigators were working Monday is rented by John and Helen Giltz. I dialed their number in the phone book with the South Dogwood address and the call went unanswered.

John is 70. Helen is 65.

It isn’t clear whether one or both or neither Giltz was the victim(s) loaded into an ambulance and taken to the medical examiner Monday afternoon.

They appear to be the parents of a lieutenant colonel stationed at Camp Lejeune. Lt. Col. John Giltz is the commanding officer of CLB 26. He has a previous address in Springfield, Va., where the owners of the house on South Dogwood are located.
