Pretty cool

Lindell Kay | Stand alones | Wednesday, February 29th, 2012

This photo – taken in moving traffic over the back of a flatbed truck – shows JPD Chief Mike Yaniero pulling over a cabbie on Tuesday afternoon:

Mike McHugh and I were on the way to the courthouse and couldn’t stop, but I called Yaniero. He said the guy littered right in front of him and he made the guy pick it up. You got to love a town where the police chief pulls people over.

No snarky here, I think it’s cool.

  1. I have seen him patroling neighborhoods on his patrol bike. You never know where he may be. He is a good Chief.

  2. Chief Yaneiro is a very dedicated and conscientious Chief of Police. I am very proud of the job that he does for Jacksonville.

  3. I have been nothing but impressed with the Chief since the day I met him. Very down to earth and sincere… but a real person. He doesn’t operate like he is “above” everyone else.
