Laurean case on TV again
Investigation Discovery, one of my favorite cable networks, is featuring the Cesar Laurean case Saturday. I’ve seen the program and it is interesting.
The actor playing Sheriff Ed Brown doesn’t look much like the real deal, but other than that the re-enactments are good.
Two photo stills from the show’s re-enactments-

Info from the show’s publicist:
Cesar Laurean is a deeply insecure military officer who uses false pride and bravado to overcompensate for his self-doubt. Though married, he is the classic womanizer, carrying on with eight to twelve women at a time, many of whom work for him. But Laurean’s perverse indulgences take a violent turn when he is accused of rape by one of his female conquests. To save his reputation and career, he plots to silence his accuser for good.
Press release from Investigation Discovery.

I was shocked to see this program. To see what was really happening between Cesar and Maria. Cesar’s sex addiction, porn searches, even homosexual porn. He had many women on the side.
He thought the baby was his and Maria knew it wasn’t. I wonder how he felt when he found out the baby wasn’t his and he killed her for nothing?
I guess Maria thought there would never be a DNA test in Mexico and she would get away with him thinking it was his baby.
They were both worried about that DNA test for different reasons.
