  3. What an idiot. Goodbye marriage, goodbye career, goodbye life. I wonder if he will reflect back and think it was worth it. They should stick him in a room with the father, lock the door, and call it a day.

  4. Summer-Rain,

I removed your photograph because I’m a nice guy and there are so many to choose from. But let me help you for the future. A photograph on a publicly-accessible social website has little claim to being owned by anyone. Also, I could just credit you and then there is not a court in the world that would ask me to take the photo down since it is being used as news. I harbor no hard feelings toward you and only want to prepare you for the next time this happens. Thanks for reading.

  6. Lindell,

How did Mike just happen to be at Jacksonville High School when this teacher was being arrested? Just chance or did someone tell him to go there? I’m betting on the latter.

  7. On the picture that is owned by Summer Rain…. I say if it’s copy righted the. You should have ask permission doesnt matter if it’s on a social site or not. You can’t Reprint a photo with out permission what is the difference of you “reprinting” it on here? It’s against the law! Next time get approval and stop stealing photos and get your own! You want to use everyone else’s work instead of using your own!

  8. I second the “good job lindell on Summer Rain” comment! It was an extremely nice guy gesture of you that really wasn’t necessary as you are correct, it is for news and on a social website with no watermark on it to even determine that it was “owned” by her in the first place.

  9. Chloe,

I read the search warrant at the magistrates office on Tuesday night during the routine check of warrants the newspaper does every night of the year.

I talked it over with Mike and he went by Mr. Howard’s house Wednesday morning to see if there was any police activity. Mike then drove by the school just in case. That’s when he saw the deputy’s cruiser and waited to see what was going down.

If we were tipped off, wouldn’t we have had a real camera there to get a printable photo of Howard? Wouldn’t I have been there? Wouldn’t we tried to do a perp walk interview?

You see so many conspiracies that aren’t there. Give it a rest already.

  10. Oh my god! Who cares about the dumb photo…these people are preying on our children!!! As a mother…I’m having a panick attack. How many stories have I seen lately about teachers and students. Come on! Lindell….good job for reporting the news and being considerte even thought you didn’t need to be! Everyone else…in regards to the photo use….the law is the law. Don’t like it….change it!

  11. That was good work on your part. Had the search warrant been served when you read it? If not, it was not public record and you should not have access to it until it had been served. Was it a search warrant or warrant for arrest? Two different animals there, but you know me, always looking for the conspiracy theory.

Judge Henry does not allow for search warrants to be sealed any longer, but they don’t become public record until after they have been served. If a magistrate is allowing you to do that, then they are wrong. Maybe that’s something Judge Henry should be informed of if it’s happening.

  12. Chloe,

Hard to win with you. You think detectives are telling me stuff, I explain it and now you want to close my loop at the magistrate’s office.

Would you just prefer I wait for a press release and report it word for word? If I did that then you’d accuse me of all manner of unethical doings.

No magistrate showed me anything they weren’t supposed to. The SEARCH warrant was in the drawer with all the other warrants. A reporter looks at them every day. Sorry I didn’t take time to make sure it was stamped as a public record yet.

  13. As a journalist, you are doing your job. You research and report on the FACTS as they are available to you (warrant) Instead of picking an argument with the reporter, there’s more important questions to be asked of the people involved in the investigation.
