Laurean set to return - FBI update

Lindell Kay | Cesar Laurean, Lauterbach case | Thursday, September 11th, 2008

UPDATE: It is 10:45 p.m. It took me all night, but I finally heard it from a special agent in the FBI - Laurean could be back here as soon as Wednesday.

Of course, it could take longer. But lets just say the feds are talking arrival plans.

—————————————————-

Cesar Laurean is set to return to Onslow County, Sheriff Ed Brown said.

He said in a news release that the return is expected within a week.

Read Daily News article here. Will be upated as events unfold.

Update from D.A.:

Dewey Hudson disagrees. He said it will be more like mid-October at best.

Previously unreleased tidbit I know:

The last sentence in the now infamous note Laurean is said to have left to his wife the morning he fled Onslow County - the one she turned over to authorities - asks her to burn the letter after reading it.

  3. If the last line on the “note” instructed Christina to burn it, and she actually had done that, Cesar might be as free as a bird now. She did the right thing by taking the notes to LE, although the personal cost to her has been heavy, both socially, and emotionally.

    Comment by justice4all — September 11, 2008 @ 6:00 pm

  4. I know there are many who might say she was in on it too, but if so, why would she have gone to LE at all, why not quietly disappear?

  5. Mastiffs, you there? What do you think?

    Comment by justice4all — September 11, 2008 @ 6:01 pm

  6. now Jacob, I can just see you planning out your trip to the courtroom!!!!!

I wonder if he will have to make a brief appearance to be “officially charged” or something, then sit in his cell until his lawyer has all he needs for the case to go forward. The DA probably has everything he needs right now.

  9. No, Justice… I wont be going to the courtroom. I am going to be anxiously awaiting to hear how many life sentences he is going to receive.

  10. HEY HEY, How long after he comes back will he be tried … It is one of those night LOL
I have not read the article but so far it looks good. Will post later

  11. Mastiff’s, not sure how long it will be before he’s tried…could be several months maybe. Look at the guys that killed Holly Wimunc. They are still in jail and haven’t had a trial yet. Same with the man that killed Megan Touma.

    Comment by ihv2mastiffs — September 11, 2008 @ 8:17 pm

  15. mastiffs, to be honest I don’t think being released in Mexico would be much different from serving a life sentence.

After living here, and also being a “guest” of the system down there, it might be more painful to see all that was lost than it would be to come up here and face the music!!!!

    Comment by justice4all — September 11, 2008 @ 8:51 pm

  16. Ann, I just read today (wral I think) that 3 nco’s have been reprimanded for not following up on Megan Touma’s sign-in and further assignments. They did say, though, that whatever they had done would not have made any difference to what happened to her. However, it would have made it easier to find her sooner. Seems she didn’t sign up for where to contact her.

I thought all military personnel had to have some “immediate recall” info just in case there was an alert.

    Comment by justice4all — September 11, 2008 @ 8:54 pm

  17. Jacob, I expect Cesar will be brought into Onslow in a van or something, sitting between two burly Deputies in the back while the driver looks like any other Corrections Officer taking a van somewhere. I wouldn’t be surprised if the Sheriff himself and the DA are the ones who will “officially” take custody of him.

But, once he is here the clock will be ticking on that trial. It will take a while because his Lawyer needs adequate time to prepare that “vigorous defense” that is our Constitutional right.

  20. Oh, I am not worried at all about CL pulling a fast one and taking flight again, I have simply been wanting to see him get a court date for such a heinous crime. I am not worrie AT ALL about wether or not he is gonna get whats coming to him from the law. Its just too bad that the death penalty had to be excluded because of some ridiculous extradition treaty with Mexico.

  21. I’m just glad the big rat will finally be in an American cage. Cesar’s def atty said he wasn’t ready for a trial yet, and highly doubted his client would be back here as quickly as has been stated. What has the atty been doing for these past 8 months, taking notes from Court TV?

Comment by Welcome back to Onslow — September 11, 2008 @ 11:56 pm

  22. Welcome…I wouldn’t be a bit surprised if his lawyer has been reading all we write and listening to all that others say, in an effort to assess “public opinion.”

I think McNeil is a very competent lawyer (those 2 hung juries, and the DA wanting a third trial) and pretty well has a good defence mapped out. But, until he talks with Cesar, he won’t be able to put it together for a trial.

If Cesar continues with nonsense like “she committed suicide right in front of me” it’s going to take McNeil a long time to get anywhere near trial. Unless he wants to plead his client as mentally defective, that is.

I expect those notes are going to be somewhat of a “bone of contention.” If I were a defense lawyer I might really get up on my hind legs and start frothing at the mouth over them. Rich soil for controversy there. Umpteen “experts” with differing opinions… That could stall the whole thing!!!

The DA has already said, “no plea bargaining” and so it looks like the DA is going for the jugular.

    Comment by justice4all — September 12, 2008 @ 12:51 am

  23. I just love everyone’s confidence. Based on the latest article and Mr. Kay’s comment above, they can’t decide or speak with one voice as to when Cesar will be back here.

It would behoove the Sheriff’s Department to keep the date quiet and make an announcement when he’s securely & safely in their jail.

    Comment by hello — September 12, 2008 @ 5:40 am

  24. I honestly thought I would DIE of old age before Cesar was extradited!!!! WOO-HOO!
    He is really coming back!

    Comment by Donna — September 12, 2008 @ 7:02 am

  25. Hello, I’m with you. I think it would be wise to not release when he is coming back in case you have someone wanting to take the law into their own hands. I think it would be safe to bring him in during the middle of the night and not release he’s here until he is secured in the jail.

    Comment by AnnDaniel — September 12, 2008 @ 7:05 am

  26. Justice…I didn’t think McNeil even had any information on the trial. Unless the DA’s office has finally given him something. But I think the last time he was interviewed, he said he knew what the public knew.

    Comment by AnnDaniel — September 12, 2008 @ 7:10 am

  27. Lindell…just curious…but how do you know about the note? Wasn’t that something they were keeping under wraps?

Something about that letter still bugs me though…if he sat Christina down and told her everything the late evening/early morning before he left…then what was the purpose of writing a letter and explaining it to her? Something that bugs me more is all the affadavits say Christina knew the morning they went to the lawyer’s office…tha’ts how the detective worded it. But they say she knew late evening/early morning…hope it gets cleared up.

    Comment by AnnDaniel — September 12, 2008 @ 7:36 am

  28. Ann, McNeil did say he knew only what the public knew, but he’s a seasoned lawyer, and I’m certain he could make up a good defense on just what is known now.

Those notes, for instance…he could argue that they were invented and have any number of experts to testify to the possibility. Also, the DA will have “expert witnesses” too, but then again, nobody actually saw Cesar writing those notes.

Also, he COULD say that Cesar never once mentioned anything at all to wifey, and it was all a frameup.

I’m not a lawyer, so my ideas could be full of holes, but I have often been amazed (dumbfounded would be a better word) at just how many angles a good lawyer can make out of a square!!!

We’ll be anxiously watching this one. I agree with you totally about getting Cesar safely into the jail before mentioning anything.

Also, we are under Mexico’s microscope on this one. They will certainly be watching to see that we are honorable.

    Comment by justice4all — September 12, 2008 @ 8:41 am

  29. Ann, it was the affidavit, I think, that said Cesar told Christina as they were going to the Lawyer’s office.

Those notes are a puzzle. A man who is taking flight for his life might not like to leave behind anything incriminating. Why write anything at all? If he had already told her the details, why give her a note. It wasn’t to keep as a reminder, because he told her to burn it.

He IS a personnel clerk, and was the ‘go to’ person for his unit. He might just be one of those “write it all down” people. In this case habit might not have been his best friend!
Also, you know that old saying about the military, how they tell you what they are going to tell you, they tell you, then they tell you what they told you? Maybe he was well-programmed!!!

    Comment by justice4all — September 12, 2008 @ 8:47 am

  30. Justice, I’m sure McNeil could offer a good defense just with the little public knowledge. But to make that defense even stronger, he needs to see the evidence against his client and he can’t do that…at least not the last we heard.

    Comment by AnnDaniel — September 12, 2008 @ 8:47 am

  31. Ann, you know after Cesar told Christina she probably had many questions, and probably a great deal of grief. He might have spent his last hours at home going over and over and over the same thing, and decided to write it down. We’ll see.

    Comment by justice4all — September 12, 2008 @ 8:49 am

  32. Anything is possible in this case. Still hold on to what Brown and Hudson said that it was bizzare and more twists and turns than a roller coaster.

    Comment by AnnDaniel — September 12, 2008 @ 8:50 am

  33. You’re right, Ann, but he gives me the impression of having the tenacity of a friendly bulldog and once he gets his teeth into something I doubt they’ll let go till he has what he needs!!!

He has a very good “public personna” as the saying goes. He certainly makes me feel that he is communicative, rather than the wooden “I am unable to comment on my client’s situation” that some lawyers might give. Despite being a friendly and outgoing person, I’ll just bet he’s as sharp as a tack when push comes to shove. However, this one is going to be decided on what the jury is ALLOWED to consider.

I have become aware that in many cases vital information has been withheld from the jury for fear of prejudicing them against the accused. For example, man up for violent robbery of a convenience store and the judge will not allow evidence that he has done the same sort of thing before and is just out of jail for it. So, the jury often can’t consider evidence that wasn’t presented.

    Comment by justice4all — September 12, 2008 @ 8:54 am

  34. I highly doubt that OCSD will have a Rambo’s entrance for Cesar’s return. Certainly not with the negative “public opinion,” that is out there, and the flight risk that he is.

Atty McNeil has all the right in the world to read this blog, along with me commenting on this blog. This is a free country, and I doubt the jury pool will come from this area anyway.

Does anyone know if he would have any computer privileges in a Mexican Jail?
    My thinking is no,
Deep down I hope he has come to repent it would be so health for his child, there are so many victims in this case, it would do some folks good to hear him say SORRY I invited you to my party and asked you to celebrate while I was burning Maria and Gabriel.

I do believe in the death penalty the reality of facing it can bring bad people to there knees, but but but Being in Jail has got to be harder so THERE YA GO! Cesar has his wish , just another bad choice for him.

    Comment by ihv2mastiffs — September 13, 2008 @ 7:16 pm

  58. Mastiffs, repentance would be great, but restitution is part of repentance, and how can anyone restore life?

Assuming Cesar is guilty (Due Process,) to repent completely he would have to follow the five steps: recognizing the wrong; stopping the wrong; ‘fessing up to the appropriate authority; making whatever restitution could be made; and living the Commandments (aka ‘living a good life.’

He can’t restore life, but he could dedicate his own life to helping others or doing some other worthwhile and necessary work.

He would have to try to make up to his wife and child for all the suffering they have gone through. Same with his own family, same with the in-laws.

He would have to be willing to accept whatever punishment would be deemed fitting.

It’s a tough road to repentance, but it is worth it. Reading about King David in the Bible is probably one of the most interesting stories in there. He was initially so righteous that he wouldn’t harm King Saul, (who was trying to kill David) even though he was close enough to the sleeping King to cut off the hem of Saul’s robe. Saul was “the Lord’s Anointed, and David was mindful of the sacredness of that position, even if Saul wasn’t particularly worthy.

After David was made king things went on pretty well until…..he spotted Bathsheba, the wife of his faithful soldier Uriah (a Hittite, not an Israelite.) I don’t know if David was ‘peeking’ where he shouldn’t be, or whether Bathsheba was indiscreet, but somehow David observed her and decided he had to start up a little relationship. Uriah was off to the war, and David, of course, knew that. When Bathsheba was pregnant David invited Uriah back from the front and probably hoped Uriah would go home to Bathsheba and just think the baby was his (the coverup..) Instead, the faithful Uriah slept outside David’s door, with the explanation that the troops were roughing it in the field and he didn’t want to take luxuries for himself.

David then went to “plan B” which was to have Uriah put out into the front of the battle where he was certain to be killed. Uriah was killed. David knew he had done wrong and repented mightily. But, calamity after calamity came upon his family. Just about everything you can think of. David still kept humble and repentant.

It’s an inspiring story, but for me a hard one because David was one of the choicest people on earth, but allowed himself to fall into great error. They do say absolute power corrupts absolutely!!!!

Anyway, Mastiffs, we’ll see how all this plays out.

Adultery is the sin next to murder, because it is almost impossible to restore what has been taken. Seems to me, though, that adultery can often lead to murder, too.

    What do you think?

    Comment by justice4all — September 13, 2008 @ 11:47 pm

  59. Why does everything have to come to religion being involved. Show me the proof. were dinosaurs talked about in the bible, was the ice age, where is god with all the hate and disaster in this world and dont tell me about his plan for everyone because that is a crock of bull. We evolved and that is that. everything in the bible is talked about of what happened in the middle east and rome. what about north america, south america, mexico and the caribbian islands. i guess none of that existed. Give me a break. The bible was written by a bunch of muslims that broke from theeir religion and a few jews. I will give you this its is the all time best seller. heck we have religous leaders from all walks commiting murder, adultery, fornification, incest, child molestation, fraud you tell me is that gods will for everyone. Tell those victims it was gods will. Tell those effected by the hurricane or the train wreack that it was gods will and plan for them. bulll

  60. justiceforall you sound like one of the deputies that goes around giving religion instead of doing his job. i had one of those do it to my sister when she was assaulted i believe it was a deputy named dupree.

    Comment by getoffofit — September 14, 2008 @ 1:25 pm

  61. Love the story, I think it speaks directly to who God is. He has chosen a fallen people, I see a common denominator in all the Great Men\Women of God, They are Human beings with toms of flaws but somewhere along the line they realized someone KNEW more than they did and his name was God. The story speaks to the essence of hopelessness, looking for fulfillment where there is NONE.. The story demonstrates what happens to us when we have the attitude that Man knows better than God, and Man desires with out him are never satisfied. THANKS God he shows us Perfect Forgiveness and redemption,
The problem with Murder (and other Great sins) is that the Victims not only have an Incident playing in their memories, but victimization, comes with great Temptation to become bitter and it is Hard to follow God’s Law when you are bitter or want revenge, and nearly impossible to live with an element of Peace if you have a heavy heart. I also know this Loving God who created us wants to use all thinks for Good!
SO , if guilty, Cesar has eternal hope, but he must choose Christ. If we look at this case alone, and his wife , mother , father , friends encouraged him to repent, I would say they were Good Leaders and they would Help Cesar be restored to God. I would encourage all involved that it is Okay to judge Murder as Wrong because God said so. God and Maria have come to terms however I believe the Lord is very concerned about all of the victims involved NSIC , Lauterbach’s, Onslow community and Lauren’s family ++++++++ Cesar has an opportunity to repent and demonstrate God’s Loving Grace and forgiveness to his Daughter, wife ++++++ or he can tempt them with his justification and bitterness. I pray they all choose Christ
Concerning Sexual sin, according to God, it defiles the whole body, therefore, if you hold on to sexual sin , your body would become controlled by impulse not by thought process (so I agree with adultery can lead to murder)

Bottom Line Justice I love the analogy

  64. Mastiffs, thanks. I like the “choose” part of your post. That’s the bottom line for all of us…which ways we’ll choose!!!! Thankfully, there’s a way to do a “u” turn if we choose the wrong way!!!!

Getoffofit. I am so sorry about your sister’s experience. It’s a big mistake to think “religion” or “God” or anything else cancels out CONSEQUENCES!!! Nobody should think anyone can get off scott free from harming others just because of “religion.”
It’s kind of like a roadmap, really, which if used right will lead us to our eternal destination. On the way we have to use common sense (not so common sometimes) and that involves “making the punishment fit the crime.” Repentance, be it ever so much, doesn’t put right what’s been done wrong. Yes, the repentant won’t continue to suffer as they turn their lives over to God, but they still have the responsibility to face up to their wrongdoing and accept the consequences of it. The Lord has told us if we come to Him we needn’t suffer, and that is very true, but nowhere does He even hint that we won’t be held accountable and have to put it right. He will take over the burden of our sins and we can become as though they hadn’t happened, but it is in His way, not ours.
We wouldn’t be comfortable with a perfect person like our Savior if we were still IN our sins. He can’t save anyone IN their sins, they have to repent. You know, that’s an old-fashioned word which really means “to turn from a course of action.”

Some people mistakenly think that being a “good” person means letting others get away with serious crimes against us. That is not so, it wouldn’t be good at all because the criminal would then go on to hurt someone else!!!! We have a responsibility to make sure that wrongdoers are “corrected!” I think some prisons are still referred to as “house of corrections” or “penitentiary.”

I can bear testimony to you, Getoffof it, that God lives, that Jesus Christ is indeed his son, our Savior, that he lives as a resurrected being, and that the Holy Ghost is a personage of spirit (no physical resurrected body) and is a comforter, and a revealer of truth. (Like when reading the scriptures, and puzzling over the meaning of some verses.)
I know there is a lot of evil and terrible calamaties in the world, but God didn’t cause them, many of them have been caused by man’s inhumanity to man. We came here and received the gift of freedom to choose. Some have used that gift to choose horror and darkness, which affects all of us. There is hope, Getoffofit, just kneel down quietly by yourself and ask God if He is there. Don’t let bitter experiences cloud your judgement. I can see you have a great many thoughts, and are quite a “thinker.”

I’m nowhere near being a ‘deputy,’ believe me! Although, come to think of it, I think my kids probably thought I was a dictator and a member of the “thought police.” I always seemed to catch them doing something they wished I hadn’t caught them at!!!!! There are many good people in this world, but you don’t really hear much about them because they aren’t doing something that catches the eye of the police or the media. We usually hear about the bad stuff.

I hope things go ok for you.

  65. No, Mastiffs, you didn’t indicate that at all. I thought your ideas were very objective indeed, most particularly since you are from the very family most affected.

Godisreal, what a great post. You’re right, we can’t see the air, but we wouldn’t be saying much if we couldn’t breathe it!!!!

  66. Getoffofit, there are scriptures that detail when Jesus came to this very continent. He said, “Other sheep have I which are not of this fold” and he meant those who were in the Americas. He visited them here, on the American Continent.

  67. I say it again all i got back was feed back about the way you all devfine the scriptures. You belove the definitions of the scriptures becayuse someone besides god told you thats what they mean.

The original scriptures were interpeted by somone other that a diciple when it was put into english. and yes theew is air is there but we cant see it. There is alot of things there that we cant see. I respect your beliefs because thats what makes us a great nation. I wold rather be in the company of a believer of god that a worshiper of the black arts or the devil just because those that believe in god are historically better people.

Its just like there being other beings in our universe, does those who belive in god believe that ther eare other types of living creatures in the universe or beyond. U would be crazy not to believe it.

scinence has proven many things to be evalution. where in the scriptures does it talk about prehistoric times. no where does it.

    Comment by getoffit — September 14, 2008 @ 7:19 pm

  68. Getoffit, boy, you do have a great thinking mind. I was wondering myself about other living creatures in the universe. I don’t see why there couldn’t be, but I don’t know which planet they might be living on.

So far, our space travel hasn’t found anywhere that would sustain life as WE know it. I believe that God created many worlds, and probably peopled them, too.

It doesn’t seem strange at all to figure they might have space travel, too. If God peopled other worlds, I would think the people might look a bit like the rest of us here, but on the other hand, we just don’t know what conditions exist somewhere else.

It is fascinating to me, even though I am not a “science fiction” person. I just don’t see why we would be the only people God created, but as I said above, we know so little about it.

Some people have claimed to have seen flying saucers, and beings from other worlds.
I wouldn’t say it couldn’t be true, but I wonder why any of Heavenly Father’s children would be “scary” to any other of His children.

Now, Getoffit, I don’t believe the Scriptures because someone told me what they meant!!! I have prayed and studied and received answers for myself!!!! I am a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. We do have a companion book of scriptures which deals with the history of the people of this, the American continent. That is both North and South America. The book is called, The Book of Mormon, A Second Witness of Jesus Christ, and that is exactly what it is.

Now, I can see (read?) that you have the sort of mind that wants answers. You are lucky, because God answers people who are seeking answers!!! There are several “Church operated” websites that have lots and lots of info. on them. lds.org is excellent, and so is mormon.org. The “.org” tells you that it is part of the official website. I believe there is a Temple at or near Raleigh, N.C. if you are located in N.C.

Most Temples have a Visitors’ Center, where they have some interesting exhibits and where there are people who are very good indeed at answering questions!!!!

As I am sure you are aware, it pays to be a bit careful online because not everyone is on the up and up, and some are downright malicious, so keep your identity confidential. I am not here to “push” my church, or any other. I know there are wonderful people who are in any and all churches, or none at all. But, I have found that most people who are living good and decent lives usually have some solid values in their lives.

God can always make more of our lives than we can by ourselves!!! I believe my church to have a restoration of the gospel as it was set up by Jesus when he was on the earth.

Now, as to dinosaurs, I have a little 2nd Grade grandson who lives with me and this year is “dinosaur year” I believe. He was asking me the other day why there are no dinosaurs today!!! That set me thinking, I kind of mumbled about “climate” and he thought maybe the food source died out. We don’t really know, but they weren’t all the T-Rex type, there were some that flew, and some that were a bit like some of our modern birds. Another puzzle is why there are penguins at the poles, AND at the Gallapagos Islands. I am thinking that one day, prehistorically, the earth was all in one mass, and the water was surrounding it. Then, somehow the land split up. It would explain things like the penguins, and it would explain about marsupials like Kangaroos and Wallabies in Australia, and the humble opossum here in North America. They are all “pouch baby” creatures, but the only one I know of here is the possum. We are a long way from Australia. And, with that hoppy, jumpy gait the kangaroo has, he’s pretty much a wide-open spaces type of animal. Very puzzling. This world is a fascinating place to live in.

Well, Getoffit, it is great to read your posts, and I hope something I have posted can assist you in your quest for meaning in life. Sometimes it feels a bit like that fable of the blind men and the elephant. Each one had hold of a different part of the creature and each man swore up and down that he was right!!! The guy who had the tail said it was a rope!!!! Lucky the elephant didn’t decide to stamp on him with its huge foot.

Well, Getoffit, have a great evening, I shall look forward to hearing from you. Take care.

I dont believe the devil exist all though there is evil but i believe that evil is man made.

One day I will meet god and then he will have some questions for me. And my answer to all of them will be. “You Made Me!!!” LOL . If he is a loving god which im sure he is he hopfully has a sense of humer also.

    Comment by GETOFFIT — September 15, 2008 @ 9:56 pm

  71. GETOFFIT, you actually have a better grip on God than a lot of people who say they believe in Him!!! God is in the form of a regular human being. Jesus, too, has a resurrected body.

God will have some questions for us when we meet him again. He’s going to ask us how we treated our fellowman (and women of course,) and whether we were kind and helpful to others, whether we cared for and assisted our families in their worthwhile goals. He will ask us how we did on living the commandments. We are here to be tested to see if we will remain true to the commandments, even though we are separated from God and Jesus Christ.

We came from the presence of God and we shall go back there when we leave this earth. Of course, our physical body will be buried or cremated or whatever we want to do with it, but our spirits will return to God. At the proper time we shall all be resurrected. We shall actually get our physical bodies back again. We will eventually go to the final judgement, and then to our “eternal reward.”

When I read of all the marvellous discoveries, like the dna stuff that’s known today, I think of the part in the Bible that says our days are numbered and not a hair of our heads will be lost. Well, with the science of dna it is amazing what can be learned from bodies that have been dead for thousands of years. There was a young woman’s body encased in ice somewhere in South America a few years back (National Geographic ran the story) and it was mind boggling to read all the stuff they found out about her. Dead a good few thousand years, too. Now, King Tut (Tutenkhamen) in Egypt is going to be dna-investigated to see if the 2 small baby bodies in his tomb I do feel, though, that looking into those pyramids and so forth almost amounts to “disturbind the dead” no matter how interesting are the discoveries.

  74. I feel sorry for all of you. God will have but one question come judgment day.

He will ask whether your name is in the Lamb’s Book of Life. If it is not, it does not matter how you treated your family or what good you tried to do.

Either you are washed in the blood or you are not. And all that Mormon double-talk will not cut it come judgment time.

You better turn or you will burn.

Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and you shall be saved!

    Comment by Great White Throne — September 16, 2008 @ 1:28 am

  75. Great White Throne.

You are right about the Lamb’s Book of Life.

However, we can’t hope to get our names in there if we don’t live the commandments.

Living the commandments is doing all the things Jesus told us to do in the Sermon on the Mount, and following the commandments as well.

Being “washed in His blood” is only done by Knowing Jesus is our Savior, repenting of wrongs, (continually re-directing ourselves to correct faults, too) and living a Christlike life. He won’t have to ask us if our name is in His book, he’ll be able to see it.

It won’t do us much good to just repent at the very end of our lives and confess Jesus is our Savior. It’s better than absolutely nothing, of course, but it is better to repent now and live right. Just words will never save anybody, it has to be backed up by our actions. After ALL we can do, it will be up to the Savior to make that final judgement. He knows everything and will be fair.

  76. You are talking about good works, justice. Good works don’t get you into heaven, they send you to hell. Only by accepting the GIFT that we could never earn, the gift of salvation will God allow us into his kingdom.
It could not be more clear in Isaiah 53. Read it again.

    Isaiah 53
Who hath believed our report? And to whom is the arm of the LORD revealed?
For He shall grow up before Him as a tender plant, and as a root out of a dry ground. He hath no form nor comeliness, and when we shall see Him, there is no beauty that we should desire Him.
He is despised and rejected of men, a Man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief. And we hid as it were our faces from Him; He was despised, and we esteemed Him not.
Surely He hath borne our griefs and carried our sorrows; yet we did esteem Him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted.
But He was wounded for our transgressions; He was bruised for our iniquities. The chastisement of our peace was upon Him, and with His stripes we are healed.
All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the LORD hath laid on Him the iniquity of us all.
He was oppressed, and He was afflicted, yet He opened not his mouth; He is brought as a lamb to the slaughter; and as a sheep before her shearers is dumb, so He openeth not His mouth.
He was taken from prison and from judgment; and who shall declare His generation? For He was cut off out of the land of the living; for the transgression of My people was He stricken.
And He made His grave with the wicked, and with the rich in His death, because He had done no violence, neither was any deceit in His mouth.
Yet it pleased the LORD to bruise Him; He hath put Him to grief. When thou shalt make His soul an offering for sin, He shall see His seed, He shall prolong His days, and the pleasure of the LORD shall prosper in His hand.
He shall see of the travail of His soul, and shall be satisfied. By His knowledge shall My righteous Servant justify many, for He shall bear their iniquities.
Therefore will I divide Him a portion with the great, and He shall divide the spoil with the strong, because He hath poured out His soul unto death. And He was numbered with the transgressors; and He bore the sin of many, and made intercession for the transgressors.

  77. Hey Great White Throne. I couldn’t agree more. Just works alone will be good, rather than being a bad person, but accepting the Gift of Salvation means DOING what Jesus asks us to do. He did say, “If ye love me, keep my commandments.” After all we can do here (and we ought to be trying hard each day) it is going to be up to God to decide everything.

I believe that real Faith produces works.

  80. This is a great dialog especially sense the main concern here are people who have been murdered and the true concequece of that act.

I see the scriptures as teaching us that we can not follow the ommandments with out HIS Help. It is the Blood Of Jesus and the Gift of Righusness that enables us to be obedient, not the otherway around. I obey His Word because I KNOW it is truth,, If I want Peace in my life he shows me how to obtain it. If I want eternal Life HE Purchased it for me, After All Gid created the Heavens and the Earth. He knows how it works, He also knows I can not accomplish His Will on my own.
To Me Obedience is the Proof of my Salvation,
