Court Street Shuffle: April 19-20
While a county commissioner is asking for a second opinion, someone wants my opinion of the former county manager. We live in a weird world.
-Onslow County Commissioner Delma Collins has been hospitalized. He called me from his hospital bed to talk about about a cold case from when he was the chief of detectives. I told him to take it easy and rest up. May 6th is coming up fast. Seriously, I hope you get better, sir.
-A firm out of Virginia called me seeking a reference for former Onslow County Manager Frank Clifton. I only spoke to Clifton on the phone a few times and met him in person once, and that was to discuss his forced resignation. I think someone got their wires crossed for me to end up on the reference list. I didn’t return the call because I don’t know enough about him to be a reference. From our brief meeting Clifton came across as a professional and he certainly knows his job. I wish him well.
-Someone will be flying out of town real soon to talk to someone South of the Border. More on that when I can hammer it down. (And what is up with my constant use of a hammer metaphor? The one time I used a hammer, I damn near broke my thumb.)

Good to hear that someone is flying to South of the Border! I hope whoever it is comes back with some more information about the “Proof” and “I loved her” statements made by Mr. Laurean.
Sorry to hear about Mr. Collins being hospitalized. I hope he has a speedy recovery.
Lindell, I agree with you about Frank Clifton. You have yet another puzzle to work on as to why you were called as a reference to his job performance. It does sound as someone got their wires crossed.

de has a point too. Make sure Cesar knows Christina has been hanging him out to dry and all is good for her.
Maybe JDN will let you pay a visit to Cesar and you can catch a little mini-vacation too my friend.

Lindell, I bet I know who is going down there and I vehemently disagree with the trip. Eventhough I’ve been tempted myself to visit South of the Border everytimeI drive on I-95 and begin seeing those billboards, It’s still no excuse for ONWASA officials to have another taxpayer paid retreat at SOTB like the other one they had in Myrtle Beach! Rent some rooms at the Triangle Motor Lodge and hold the conference there!

Monte are you thinking it’s not Wally? Don’t be foolish, you know those rooms could be bugged at the Triangle Motor Lodge. I hope wish Ed was heading down there but I’m guessing that’s probably not advisable since someone made sure he had a court appointed lawyer from jump right?
Lefty some people don’t wash their hands before leaving the restroom but I’ll bet you still go to McDonalds for lunch.
It’s all in the luck of the draw.

LIndell, is LE going to release the Search Warrant and the Probable Cause affidavit on Amber and Tyler Emericks house for seizure of the computer, etc?
If the dairy was not specifically named as communications between Cesar and Christina, how could they have been seized as they were NOT communications between Cesar and Christina?
Did LE know about the dairies? I do not see how they could or how they could have been seized if they were.
Dairies sound like something her defense attorney told her to keep. I do not begin to even believe they were not written to explain away her misdeeds, and to be found when/if she blew the country to join Cesar. This woman needs professional help to continue to love a murderer. Again, I feel she knew about the murder the night it happened.

I do not believe that it is Christina that is going to fly South of Boarder. I do not think that the LE or military will let her leave the immediate area nor do I believe that she will be allowed to talk to him or see him before the LE has their chance to question him. Will be interesting thought to find out who is going.

LTH, no, I do not believe that Christina is going anywhere now that Cesar has been captured. I was refering to when she was communicating with him. I do thinkthat she will visit him in the county jail when he returns to Jacksonville. I do not believe that LE could keep her from visiting him. Do you think she will?
I would think that Mr. Paramore has already seen Cesar, and of course be there with him at any questioning.
I REALLY want to know who is going also. : )

Carolyn, I might be wrong, but I think that they will be able to keep Christina visiting Cesar when he is returned until they can do their questioning. We have to remember, that they can control who comes in and out of jail and who can and can not have visitors. I think that she will want to, but that she will also be afraid to because she knows that all eyes will be on her. It is going to be interesting.

I do understand that she may feel that all eyes are upon her, regardless whether they are or not.

Carolyn, it’s in the link that me provided. Basically it says in the article on witntv.com that LLE wanted information on phone calls made to a local Subway on March 31st.
Now was the email to Sheriff Brown on March 30th or 31st?

Wow, Little and citizen! Now I need to go look up when the computer from the Emerick house was seized! Once the computer was seized, there must have been phone communication. IIRC, the local LE and Federal was at the house when the computer was seized. Now if the Feds told Christina to tell them of any further communications with Cesar and she did not, she could be in trouble for lying to the Feds. They do not play.
